Between the 2nd and 18th July, the Not Part Of Festival returns to Manchester for a third successive year.

Created in response to the Manchester International Festival, the Not Part Of Festival is a unique fringe to a unique festival.

It's a fresh edgy arts festival with comedy, theatre, visual arts, poetry, dance, film, music, cabaret, street performance, new media and more besides. It is a celebration both of Manchester's current exceptional cultural climate and its reputation as a city that embraces new forms, new expressions and new people.

Uniquely, The Not Part Of Festival draws artists from multiple genres without charging them or adding to their costs; providing them with a supportive environment in which to learn the skills that will benefit them their entire career. This lo-fi, punk, DIY festival suits Manchester's reputation for breaking new ground. Anyone attending a Not Part Of event will discover the next generation of Manchester's artists and creators.

This yea'rs festival is bigger and better than ever, and with its full line-up now unveiled, here's a sneak preview of some of the highlights -

Vertigo Theatre Productions who scored huge acclaim and media attention with their UK premiere of the off-Broadway hit Dog Sees God; Confessions Of A Teenage Blockhead join the festival line-up with M, a modern day update of Dial M For Murder. Directed by Craig Hepworth, this sexy and devilishly manipulative teen thriller previews at the Taurus Bar, Canal Street, from 1st July.

Other play highlights include What's His Will? (John Thaw Theatre), For The Love Or Money (Manchester Library), Spring Awakening (Salford Arts Theatre), The Wait (Ape and Apple Pub), Rehearsal (Taurus Bar), Cutting Room (Green Room) and many others.

Comedy comes in the form of Jokein @ The Lass, Comic FX, The W.A.R.T Show, Eddie Hoss and The Funny Factor amongst others.

Poetry and Art events include BBC Radio 4 Poetry Slam, Dust, Art In Action, Bring Your Knitting, Arty Farty Film Party, Manchester Art Crawl and Poetry Without The Use Of Nets.

It'll also be an opportunity to see the world-famous Ladyboys Of Bangkok, making Not Part Of will prove a festival not to be missed.
