Full Casting Announced For THE OMISSION OF THE FAMILY COLEMAN At The Ustinov Studio

Full casting is announced today for The Omission of the Family Coleman by Claudio Tolcachir, in a new version by Stella Feehily and directed by Laurence Boswell at Theatre Royal Bath's Ustinov Studio. Laoisha O'Callaghan, David Crowley, Anne Kent, Evanna Lynch, Rowan Polonski, Robert Mountford, Patrick Moy, Natalie Radmall-Quirke will appear in the UK Premiere which runs from Thursday 28 March to Saturday 27 April with opening night for press on Wednesday 3 April and completes the venue's Season of UK Premieres from the Americas

Claudio Tolcachir's absurdist comedy The Omission of the Family Coleman has won several prestigious awards including the Ace Award for Best Argentinian Play and the Best Original Play Award at the Fiesta Nacional del Teatro.

Three generations of the dysfunctional Coleman family live under one roof on the verge of chaos, held in check by their matriarchal grandmother. But how will the family cope when their linchpin is removed?

Laoisha O'Callaghan has performed on stage in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (West End), The Importance of being Earnest (London Classical Theatre) and Roses of Whitechapel (Greenwich Playhouse, Lion and Unicorn Theatre). She has also appeared on screen in Fair City and Doctors.

David Crowley's screen credits include The Syndicate and In the Flesh for the BBC. Stage credits also include Thick as Thieves (Reform Theatre), The Lonely Clouds of Guernice (The Lowry) and Burt and Joyce (Theatre Royal Nottingham).

Anne Kent has appeared in Waiting for Elvis and Cleaners (Axis Theatre), Little Gem (National Tour), Portia Coughlin at The Old Red Lion theatre for which she was nominated in the Off West End Awards for best actress in a supporting role. Film and TV credits include PS I Love You and RTE's Fairy City.

Evanna Lynch starred as Luna Lovegood in the final four films of the Harry Potter franchise. Her other screen credits include My Name is Emily and Addiction: A 60's Love Story. She recently appeared on stage in Disco Pigs (Trafalgar Studios) and the UK tour of Houdini.

Robert Mountford's stage credits include Vagabonds (UK tour), The Habit of Art (Original Theatre Company), Bitched (Tristan Bates Theatre), House & Garden for which he was nominated for Best Supporting Artist at the UK Theatre Awards (Newbury Watermill), and Anita and Me (Birmingham Rep).

Patrick Moy's theatre credits include The Taming of the Shew and The Merchant of Venice with the Royal Shakespeare Company, A Holy Show (Abbey Theatre), The Weir (Tobacco Factory), The Sound of Music and Abigail's Party (Leicester Curve).

Rowan Polonski returns to Bath following the UK tour of Shakespeare in Love. His other stage credits include Cockamamy (Hope Theatre) and Another Country (Trafalgar Studios). Film credits include Tomb Raider and Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Natalie Radmall-Quirke has appeared on stage in The Weir (English Touring Theatre), The Winter's Tale (Cheek by Jowl), Martyr (UK Tour), The Playboy of the Western World (Southwark Playhouse) and Romeo and Juliet (The Gate). TV credits include Casualty, Striking Out and Doctors.

Claudio Tolcachir is a prominent Argentine actor, playwright and director and was recognised as The Outstanding Personality of Culture by the Legislature of Buenos Aires. He is the founder of theatre company Timbre 4 which regularly presents work in his hometown in Buenos Aires and internationally. His other works include Third Body and The Wind in a Violin.

Stella Feehily has worked extensively with Out of Joint and the Royal Court and her plays have toured nationally and been produced internationally. Plays include This May Hurt A Bit, Bang Bang Bang, Duck and the award-winning O Go My Man.

Laurence Boswell is an Olivier Award winner, Artistic Director of the Ustinov Studio and an Associate Artist of the RSC. His recent productions include The Model Apartment, The Whale, The Mentor, Trouble in Mind, The Mother, Intimate Apparel and The Spanish Golden Age Season in the Ustinov Studio and A Midsummer Night's Dream in the Theatre Royal Bath's Main House.

The Omission of the Family Coleman is the third and final play featured in the Ustinov Studio's A Season of UK Premieres which opened in November 2018 with Donald Margulies' The Model Apartment, also directed by Laurence Boswell, and Tanya Barfield's searing drama Blue Door, directed by Eleanor Rhode which opened in February 2019.
