First Family Entertainment (FFE) and the Ambassador Theatre Group (ATG) have announced record-breaking pantomime sales for a single day.

FFE pantomime sales for Monday 18 November were the highest ever recorded in a single day totalling £150,000.

This equates to a 25% increase on the corresponding day in the previous year.

The single day figure of £150,000 now gives FFE a total sales tally of£7,704,143 for the 2013/2014 pantomime season so far, which in itself is an 11% increase on this time last year.

Kevin Wood, FFE's Chief Executive, said: "We are delighted to report these record-breaking sales. It proves that pantomime is as popular as ever and heartening to see that families are still coming to see Live Theatre in an era that is so technology focussed. We believe that the sales are a reflection of good casting, loyalty from our audiences having seen strong productions in previous years and our new flexible pricing approach."

FFE are producing ten fun filled family pantomimes for the Christmas 2013/2014 season with a star-studded line up including Jo Brand, in her pantomime debut, and Matthew Kelly (New Wimbledon Theatre), Louie Spence (Bristol Hippodrome), Justin Fletcher (New Victoria Theatre Woking), Scottish comedienne Karen Dunbar (King's Theatre Glasgow), Warwick Davis (Milton Keynes Theatre), Jonathan Wilkes (Regent Theatre Stoke), Ray Quinn (Liverpool Empire), Henry 'The Fonz' Winkler (Richmond Theatre), Anita Dobson (Aylesbury Waterside Theatre) and Britain's Got Talent winners Ashleigh and Pudsey and Jodie Prenger (Manchester Opera House).
