DARLING To Bring Regency-Inspired Circus Spectacle To Brighton Fringe Spiegeltent
Pivot Point Circus will stage its second full-length production at SpiegelGardens during Brighton Fringe.
Pivot Point Circus will present DARLING at the Spiegeltent’s SpiegelGardens during Brighton Fringe, blending aerial acrobatics, physical theatre, and comedy in a Regency ballroom setting. The immersive production invites audiences into a high-society environment where romance, rivalry, and performance intersect.
Set at a Regency-era ball, the production follows a group of characters navigating social ambition under the watchful eye of the Queen. As relationships unfold, the formal structure of the evening begins to unravel through a mix of acrobatic performance and theatrical storytelling.
DARLING is the second full-length production from Pivot Point Circus, a London-based collective formed by graduates of the National Centre for Circus Arts. The company has previously performed at Brighton Fringe and across London’s cabaret and theatre venues. The production premiered at Jacksons Lane in October 2025.
“It’s been such a privilege to make a show that’s so silly and vibrant,” said performer and co-creator Chrys Shipley. “At its heart, it’s about bringing people together to share the joy we have for storytelling and our love of circus.”
“We wanted to create something playful, chaotic, and visually rich—like stepping inside a Regency fever dream,” added performer and co-creator Ruby Buchanan.
DARLING will be presented for two evenings in May at SpiegelGardens, transforming the Spiegeltent into a Regency-inspired performance space.
