After a host of critically acclaimed one-man shows, the 2011 Foster's Comedy Award Winner arrives back at the Soho Theatre with a ten strong cast that is a 'chocolate box of young comedy talent' (The Times) in his sell-out Edinburgh Fringe hit which makes good on his promise to lasso his audience into a bold new direction. Coach Coach tells the story of the ultimate High School Sports Coach desperately trying to steer his team of losers to glory against their arch rivals in the final of the Yakult Cup. The sport? A version of fellow comedian Marek Larwood's actual sport, Volfsball, a Health and Safety friendly version of Basketball played in extremely close proximity to the 140 strong audience in the Soho Main Space.

The clock is ticking and your team are losing... The ball is in your hands... Will you take the shot? The Hail Mary that could win you or lose you the game?

The show features a cast on ten including Stevie Martin and Liz Smith from hit sketch group Massive Dad, Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Award nominated Best Newcomer Ben Target, and Richard Gadd, creator and star of the undisputed underground hit of the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe Waiting for Gaddot.

Adam said, "Coach Coach is a character I have always wanted to flesh out and give more stage time to than the usual ten minutes in a multi-character show, so when the idea came to tell his story over an hour alongside a host of other actors playing a bunch of other parts, it felt like the perfect way to evolve what I had been doing before into something new and fresh. The show will end with the actual match being played for real that we will then have to adapt our script and actions to according to how the scoring goes. Typically, in keeping with all my previous shows, I've taken that pivotal, career-defining moment out of my hands and placed it on the shoulders of the poor, unwitting fool we select from audience!"

Coach Coach now boasts a gen-u-ine, bonafide Yakult Cup built by the actual Yakult. The iconic bottle of tiny bacteria has long been one of Riches' regular targets for spoof, and the company was delighted to help him continue that tradition by lending their name and support to Coach Coach.
