A FLEA IN HER EAR Ends Run At The Old Vic March 5, 2011

A Flea in Her Ear, Georges Feydeau's 1907 classic farce translated by John Mortimer and directed by Richard Eyre will end its scheduled run on Saturday 5 March 2011.

When Raymonde Chandebise (Dillon) suspects her husband Victor (Hollander) of having an affair, she enlists her best friend Lucienne (Glascott) to set a trap to catch him out. Their plan misfires when the anonymous letter they send him suggesting a rendezvous at the Hotel Coq d'Or leads to a hilarious sequence of mistaken identities and bruised egos. John Mortimer's translation of A Flea in Her Ear was originally performed by the National Theatre at The Old Vic in 1966, starring Albert Finney. A subsequent production starring Jim Broadbent was also staged at The Old Vic in 1989.
