West End star Katie Brayben has received an Offie Award nomination for Best Female Performance for her critically acclaimed performance in Andrew Lippa and Tom Greenwald's john & jen at London's Landor Theatre. Katie is best known for playing Sophie in the hit West End musical, Mamma Mia!.

"I was blown away by the fiercely strong and riveting performances. Katie Brayben has an incredible voice and vivacity and plays the role with massive enthusiasm. She is thoroughly convincing, portraying a young girl to a college druggie, to a manic soccer mom." Southwark News

Set between 1950 and 1990, this off-Broadway hit is the story of one woman's journey through life - as both a sister and a mother. As relevant now as when it is set, this timeless, intimate musical crosses both the gender and age divides, examining the formation of our identities as a result of our familial relationships. A resonant and melodic score provides the wit and charm to an emotionally charged musical about connections, commitments and the healing of the human heart.

Produced by The Landor Theatre Ltd and Bottle of Red Productions Ltd, john & jen is directed by Susan Raasay, with design by Martin Thomas and musical direction by David Randall. Katie Brayben is joined in the cast by Adam Rhys Davies, whose credits include tick, tick... BOOM! and Pinkalicious.
