You Can't It With You " will delight you with its humor, eccentric characters , and slightly madcap story line.
The Sycamores seem mad, but it is not long before we realize that if they are made, the rest of the world is madder. In contrast to these delightful people are the unhappy Kirbys. The plot shows how Tony, attractive young son of the Kirbys, falls in love with Alice Sycamore and brings his parents to dine at the Sycamore home on the wrong evening. The shock sustained by the Kirbys, who are invited to eat cheap food, shows Alice that marriage with Tony is out of the question.

The play won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and was made into a movie featuring Jimmy Stewart and Jean Arthur that is available on DVD .

The Drinking Party

An original stage-adaptation of Plato's Symposium

LAST WEEKEND! April 23 and 24

8:00pm, $10

With stunning simplicity and clarity, Plato's classic masterpiece depicts the brilliant luminaries of the Greek world enjoying witty, provocative, and slightly drunken discourse, on the virtues of Love. Plato provides not only a contemporary portrait of such legends as Socrates, Aristophanes, and Alcibiades, but also demonstrates the famous Socratic method in action, and offers a charming yet profound analysis of the chosen topic. This production features an original translation by Amy Page Wilson, and is adapted for the stage by John Cruncleton.
