The pilot season of NT Live, the new initiative by the UK's National Theatre to broadcast live performances of plays onto cinema screens worldwide, launches with Nicholas Hytner's production of Phèdre by Jean Racine, in a version by Ted Hughes. Helen Mirren leads a brilliant cast that includes Margaret Tyzack and Dominic Cooper (The History Boys).

Consumed by an uncontrollable passion for her young stepson and believing Theseus, her absent husband, to be dead, Phèdre confesses her darkest desires and enters the world of nightmare. When Theseus returns alive and well, Phèdre, fearing exposure, accuses her stepson of rape. The result is powerful drama.

Don't miss this one-time only opportunity to see legendary Academy Award winner Helen Mirren in the National Theatre's acclaimed production of Racine's chilling tale of passion and betrayal!
