New Bad Ideas Live 2026 at The Great Hall

An evening of new ideas, new music, and new stories from Bad Hats Theatre, premiering four newly commissioned mini-musicals by celebrated Canadian music theatre creators alongside highlights from Bad Hats' existing canon and its New Bad Ideas program. Curated and directed by Fiona Sauder and Matt Pilipiak, and led by Music Director Ben Kopp, the concert is performed by an ensemble of Canadian musical theatre talent. The evening includes new short works by writing duos Rosamund Small and Suzy Wilde, Makram Ayache and Anton Lipovetsky, Nam Nguyen and Wilfred Moeschter, and Marie Farsi and Kevin Wong, plus sneak peeks from Bad Hats' upcoming mainstage musicals Piper, The Chrysalids, and The Nutcracker.
