Following the massive success of its hugely popular and critically acclaimed show for babies, One Thing Leads to Another, Young People's Theatre (YPT) is thrilled to present Scenes From a Tree, an award-winning show specially designed for children 18 months to 4 years of age. Produced by Montreal's Des mots d'la dynamite, this enchanting tale about growing up and putting down roots will be presented in the Studio February 15 to 26.
Scenes from a Tree is a play inspired by the changing of the seasons. A tactile garden grows before our very eyes. Through stories, songs and nursery rhymes, this delightful performance draws a connection between the life-cycle of the natural world and our own feelings about growing up and putting down roots. Three tree-like fairies weave a visual landscape out of wool and knitwork, forming the backdrop of the piece. Every day we make new discoveries: Scenes from a Tree is a celebration of the passage of time and the ties that bind us all together.Scenes From a Tree was created and developed by Nathalie Derome, Amélie Dumoulin and Karine Sauvé, and features Nathalie Derome, Karine Sauvé and Anne Brulotte-Légaré.
