Dancap Productions and Etobicoke School for the Arts continue their WEST SIDE STORY collaboration with a master dance class taught by cast members today, May 24 @ 12:45pm.

The culmination of an exciting relationship between Dancap Productions and the Etobicoke School of the Arts begins with a Flash Mob performance of "Cool" at the Eaton Centre; the students of ESA performing the National Anthem prior to a performance at the Toronto Centre for the Arts; and this, a professional exchange for Toronto's next generation of performers with Broadway hoofers.

The class features cast members and more than 40 musical theatre students, including the award-winning ESA show choir Splash. The master class ends at 2 pm, after which the students will perform "Somewhere" from the score of WEST SIDE STORY for the cast members. It all takes place at Etobicoke School of the Arts, 675 Royal York Road (South of The Queensway).

Fifty five years ago, a contemporary musical adaptation of Romeo & Juliet premiered on Broadway and changed the face of musical theatre forever. Dancap Productions presents the first national tour of the smash hit Broadway revival of WEST SIDE STORY, on stage until June 3, 2012 only, at the Toronto Centre for the Arts.
