The Fringe: Toronto's Theatre Festival took over the Annex neighbourhood for another 12 theatre packed days and 11 nights from July 5 – 16.

The Fringe is pleased to announce a record-breaking year in attendance and box office revenues. Ticketed attendance totaled 47,122 compared to 46,332 in 2005. The amount of box office revenue that was returned to the 136 participating companies was, wait for it… over $340,000 compared to $325,428 in 2005.

The Fringe: Toronto's Theatre Festival was once again at the forefront of Toronto's thriving cultural summer scene which managed to present over 1000 performances from a record 136 companies from Toronto, Canada, the US and around the world.

Full houses were enjoyed by several companies with many sold out shows including THE GUINEA PIG AND THE CHICKEN, SPLASH20, JESUS CHRIST: The Lost Years, PULL-OUT, DANCINGMONKEYBOY, THE CATERING QUEEN, UNCALLED FOR 4: FOR FOREVER!, SWISS FAMILY GUY ROBINSON, DRAMA QUEEN, GIANT KILLER SHARK: The Musical.
