Spiegelworld's EMPIRE Extends for Final Time in Toronto

evenko and Spiegelworld are very excited to announce a second, and final, extension to the run of EMPIRE in Toronto with three more weeks of performances. Now scheduled through to November 8, 2015 EMPIRE must close in Toronto and continue its current tour. While in Toronto, the company will celebrate the milestone of 1000 performances of EMPIRE on Thursday, October 1 @ 7pm.

"Since its world premiere in New York City in 2012, EMPIRE has been performed for more than 500,000 patrons in two dozen cities across five countries and three continents," said Ross Mollison, Spiegelworld Impresario Extraordinaire. "The continued demand for EMPIRE is a testament to our outstanding cast and crew as well as the audiences who have embraced this special show, especially here in Toronto, where the reception has been overwhelming."

MCs Oscar and Fanny steer the show while an eccentric cast of characters, including; the seductive Gorilla Girls (banquine), the amazing foot jugglers, the backwards bending contortionist, the daredevil roller skaters, the world champion wheelmaster, and more amaze and astound audiences again and again. Completing the cast is the sultry songstress, Brampton's own Tessa Alves, and fast-fingered guitarist, Moondog.

Spiegelworld's custom built Spiegeltent, outfitted with plush velvet VIP banquettes, bevelled mirrors, beautiful stained glass, speak-easy style bar and an extremely intimate stage just three meters in diameter, hosts the most outrageous and sexy burlesque, acrobatic, circus, comedy and vaudeville acts from around the world.
