Photo Coverage: Rufus Wainwright Lights up the Night at Luminato
By: Kelly Cameron

This past Sunday, amidst Tony Award excitement, audiences in Toronto were treated to a special performance by the man Elton John referred to as ‘the greatest songwriter on the planet’ as Rufus Wainwright took centre stage for a free concert as part of the fifth season of Luminato. He was joined by his eight piece band and debuted all twelve tracks from his upcoming album ‘Out of the Game’. Prior to Rufus taking the stage, many up and coming artists joined together for an hour and performed various pieces of the artist in what was lovingly called ‘The Rufus Songbook’.
It was a gorgeous evening, and the concert took place outdoors at The Hub. BWW was thrilled to be on hand to capture photographs from this unique event.
