Daniel Robert Sullivan Joins Canadian Cast of Jersey Boys
The Dora-Nominated Canadian Production of Jersey Boys welcomes a new cast member starting June 16th, 2009. Daniel Robert Sullivan is joining the cast in the role of Tommy DeVito. Sullivan replaces Jeremy Kushnier, who has been playing the role in Toronto for the past eleven months.
Daniel Robert Sullivan has been involved in musical theatre for many years, performing in regional productions over fifteen states during the last eleven years. He has also been part of the National Tours of Pirates of Penzance and Jesus Christ Superstar. Sullivan joins a very talented cast that includes the Dora Nominated Jeff Madden (Frankie Valli), Michael Lomenda (Nick Massi) and Quinn VanAntwerp (Bob Gaudio).
Jersey Boys tells the story of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, through the eyes of the four members of the original group. The musical gives the audience a unique look at how these four guys rose from the streets of New Jersey to become one of the most successful pop groups of all time.
Jersey Boys has been thrilling audiences in Toronto since the National Tour began last August. It was received so well that a Canadian Production was launched and has just been extended through to September 27th, 2009. To celebrate Canada Day there is a going to be a special performance on Wednesday July 1st at 7:00PM, with fireworks to follow in Mel Lastman Square. In addition, on Thursday July 2nd there will be performances at 2PM and 8PM.
Jersey Boys is currently playing at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, located at 5040 Yonge St. Performance schedule is Tuesday-Saturday at 8PM, and Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 2PM. There are also a limited number of same day RUSH SEATS available two hours prior to each performance at the box office for only $20.
