Comedy Records is proud to present Legends In The Making, a live stand-up comedy album taping, starring DAVE MERHEJE and ARTHUR SIMEON on Thursday, August 15 at the Randolph Theatre.
After a sold out tour in the summer of 2012, Legends In The Making will return for one night only as dynamic duo DAVE MERHEJE (MTV, Just For Laughs) and ARTHUR SIMEON (HBO, Just For Laughs) share the stage to record their respective comedy albums.
Winner of Just For Laugh's 2011 Irwin Barker Homegrown Comic Award and NOW Magazine's 2011 Best of Toronto Award for Best Male Stand-up, Dave Merheje is making waves as one of the edgiest comics in the country today. Merheje was recently profiled as one of Canada's next breakout stars on CBC Radio One's Laugh Out Loud. He has been featured on CBC Radio One's The Debaters, XM Radio's Laugh Attack, Bite TV's Stand Up with Bite and Stand up & Bite Me Competition, MuchMusic's Video on Trial and Stars Gone Wild, MTV's Cocktails and The Comedy Network short Worst Gig Ever.
Arthur Simeon is not your typical Torontonian-by-way-of-Kampala, Uganda comedian. This one is unique, Arthur brings a funny, rich and authentic African viewpoint to living in North America. A gifted and enchanting storyteller, Arthur recently taped the second season of HBO's Funny As Hell series, he is a favorite on the CBC Radio hit shows Laugh Out Loud & The Debaters and has appeared twice at the Just For Laughs festivals in Toronto and Montreal. Arthur was also featured on the cover of Toronto's NOW magazine, in the Globe & Mail and is a regular contributor to the Strombo Show on CBC Television.
