Michael will be covering theatre in the Toronto and surrounding areas alongside Kelly Cameron, Mark Andrew Lawrence, Lauren Gienow and other contributors soon to be announced.
Welcome to the team, Michael!
BIO: Michael was going to be a doctor. It was what he wanted all his life, and watching TV shows like 'ER' only fuelled his desire. He focused his education on science, and even attended Ottawa U for a degree in Biotechnology. But things changed after he played Joseph in the “Technicolor” musical, prompting him to rethink his life. Apparently it wasn’t so much the medicine in “ER” that inspired him, it was the drama. While participating in several community stage productions, Michael redirected his life path and graduated with a BA in Theatre. He moved to Toronto, got his break on the US National Tour of 'Mamma Mia!' and followed up with the starring role of Link in the original Canadian production of 'Hairspray'. He has been in many productions across the country, including 'The Last 5 Years', 'The Light in the Piazza', and 'Dirty Dancing,' and continues to perform. While in 'Mamma Mia!' and 'Dirty Dancing,' Michael published a weekly newsletter for the company. He is thrilled to join the BWW team so he can marry two of his passions for the world to see. In the end, they are both simply about telling a good story.
