Sarah Ruhl's THE CLEAN HOUSE Opens Tonight at Santa Paula Theater Center
The Santa Paula Theater Center presents THE CLEAN HOUSE by Sarah Ruhl on its Main Stage from tonight, Nov. 13 through Sunday, Dec. 20 as the final production in the 2015 Season.
Regular performances are Friday and Saturday evenings at 8pm and Sunday matinees at 2:30 at the Santa Paula Theater Center, 125 South 7th Street in Santa Paula. Reservations can be made by calling 805.525.4645 or on the web site santapaulatheatercenter.org.
THE CLEAN HOUSE is a whimsical romantic comedy center on Brazilian housekeeper and aspiring comedian Matilde whose life becomes embroiled with sisters Lane and Virginia. Lane's husband, Charles, and his newly-found soulmate, Ana. Awarded the Susan Blackburn Prize given annually to the best English language play written by a woman, THE CLEAN HOUSE was also a Pulitzer Prize finalist.
THE CLEAN HOUSE at Santa Paula Theater Center features a cast of five with Javiera Torres as Matilde, Laurel Lyle as Lane, Sindy Mckay as Virginia, Paul Newman as Charles, and Carmen Saveiros as Ana. Larry Swerdlove directs, Leslie Nichols is the producer, and Megan Brister is stage managing.
Reservations for THE CLEAN HOUSE can be made through the box office 805.525.4645 or on the web site www.santapaulatheatercenter.org. Ticket prices are $20.00 regular admission and $18.00 for seniors and students. Performances are Fri. and Sat. evenings at 8pm and Sunday Matinees at 2:30.
