The Pink Unicorn follows Trisha Lee, a Christian widow doing her best to hold her small Texas world together when her child comes out as genderqueer and starts a Gay-Straight Alliance at school. The town erupts. Her church revolts. Her family fractures. And Trisha? She has to decide what love really means when it costs you something. Told with biting humor, southern warmth, and startling vulnerability, this story is a hand-extended in the dark — asking us to walk beside someone we may not fully understand yet. And in living rooms, community spaces, and neighborhood hubs, the play transforms. Instead of sitting in rows, you’re just a few feet from Trisha as she unravels, rebuilds, and ultimately discovers a fiercer version of love than she imagined possible. Expect an evening that feels part confession, part kitchen-table storytelling, part revival of the human spirit.
