Met Concert #5 – Scheherazade Punch at Marrickville Town Hall

In this richly textured and unique performance, The Metropolitan Orchestra (TMO) will feature a variety of orchestral components from the string orchestra split into multiple ensembles for a true surround sound experience, through to a powerhouse Russian banger delivered by the full orchestra. TMO will also showcase the magnificent, and extremely rare Wurlitzer Theatre Organ that resides at Marrickville Town Hall in a brilliant, energetic and playful world premiere featuring organ with orchestra, titled Punch.

Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, this final concert of TMO’s 2023 Met season highlights the orchestras commitment to supporting Australian composers while making some of the greatest full-scale orchestral works more accessible for all to experience. A truly fitting end to what has been an incredible 15th concert season.
