A local Sydney Theatre Company is to present the Australian premiere of a hilarious new Broadway show. Find out why the cast wants audiences to come see the show in the video!

IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU is a hilarious and wild, musical farce with blushing brides,
nervous grooms, overbearing mums, unexpected guests, and plenty of crazy twists and turns. It's the funniest wedding you will ever go to... and it's coming to the Independent Theatre, North Sydney from 31 March!

The bride is Jewish. The groom is Catholic.

Her mother is a force of nature, his mother is a tempest in a cocktail shaker - WHAT could possibly go wrong? And, when the bride's ex-boyfriend crashes the party, it's up to the sister of the bride to turn a tangled mess into happily-ever-after in this musical comedy for anyone who has ever had parents!

Charming, funny and original, It Shoulda Been You invites you to a roller-coaster of a wedding day, with a twist or three!

According to director James Worner - a legend of the Sydney theatre scene -
there are all the relatable, familiar fears, tensions and joys of a family celebration... and then some: "Family expectations, self-doubt, fear of disappointing loved ones, maternal love and approval, conflict and acceptance... it's all there! And throw in some star-crossed lovers and there really is something for everyone. No spoilers... but I REALLY mean everyone!"
