Time for Three {Tf3} are three young American musicians who defy classification. As comfortable playing their own interpretations of Kanye West and Mumford & Sons as they are performing Bach and Mozart, this inimitable string trio will bring their unique mix of virtuosity, charisma and showmanship to Sydney this month to perform three exciting concerts with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.
Their virtuosic and edgy performance style has been met with critical acclaim and the group have built a massive international fan-base, in part due to the success of their YouTube videos; their covers of songs by Katy Perry, Kanye West and Mumford & Sons have collectively received hundreds of thousands of views and have been featured on CNN and Huffington Post.
"The three of us grew up listening to all kinds of music - '90s hip-hop, grunge, bluegrass - and we've always played a wide variety of music," Tf3 violinist Nick Kendall says. "We're part of a new generation of classically trained musicians who approach diverse styles from the same heartfelt place. We hear and feel it all in a similar way, as just music."
