Sydney Opera House Celebrates George Michael With Special Music Event
The Sydney Opera House will bring a little faith to the Concert Hall stage this July with a special music event that celebrates the late and great pop genius, George Michael. George Michael: Listen to Your Heart is a glorious celebration of the transcendent musician and icon, performed by an incredible 31 piece orchestra with some of Australia's greatest voices.
Joining the orchestra led by celebrated Australian conductor, John Foreman OAM (Australian Idol, The Boy from Oz) is singer and actor Rob Mills (Wicked, Ghost, Australian Idol), four time Logie Award-winner Hugh Sheridan (A Funny Thing Happened, Packed to the Rafters, House Husbands), musical theatre star and pop sensation Casey Donovan (We Will Rock You, Australian Idol), RnB star Andrew de Silva (CDB, Boom Crash Opera, Australia's Got Talent) and musical theatre favourite Bobby Fox (Assassins, Jersey Boys, Hot Shoe Shuffle).
Listen to Your Heart is a journey through both the music and life of George Michael, including songs of love lost and found, triumphs and struggles. This euphoric celebration will relive Michael's greatest anthems, spanning the 80s, 90s and mega-anthem number ones from his later catalogue includingFaith, Careless Whisper and Praying for Time. A voice of purpose and constant passion, George Michael's enduring legacy of pop classics is a testament to his power as a solo artist and his penchant for writing compelling music drawn from personal experiences.

George Michael: Listen to Your Heart comes to the Sydney Opera House for one-day only on Sunday 8 July with two exclusive performances at 3pm and 7:30pm.
