Kuringai Council has closed Marian Street Theatre for an indefinite period on the basis that the theatre is no longer compliant with the Australian Building Code. This sudden closure has meant that SNOW WHITE needed to find a new venue. Luckily The Lighthouse Theatre at Macquarie University is available and SNOW WHITE will play there for a week from 20 to 25 January 2014.

SNOW WHITE, the magical Mirror, the faithful Dwarves who try to protect her from the envious Queen, as well as many other delightful characters will be played by the talented young performers from Marian Street Theatre's Drama School. MSTYP's trademark audience participation will keep young audiences on The Edge of their seats.

SNOW WHITE has been adapted by well-known children's author Helen Martin. This beautiful story from The Brothers Grimm about innocence, envy and friendship was first published in 1812 and features a magic mirror, a poisoned apple and the lovable seven dwarfs.

Songs and Music: Jenny Jackson and Andrew Chessher, Direction: Rebecca Jones and Laura Foureur, Set Design: Sean Carver, Costume Design: Lucy Scott, Lighting Design: Grant Fraser, Musical Direction: Andrew Chessher, and Movement Direction: Peter Blackburn.

Snow White runs from 20 January to 25 January 2014, Monday to Saturday at 10.30am & 1.00pm.
