HUMAN NATURE TO PERFORM AT SCHOOLS SPECTACULAR

By:

2013 marks the 30th Anniversary of the extraordinary Schools Spectacular. The 30th birthday celebration will take place at Sydney Entertainment Centre on Friday 29 & Saturday 30 November 2013.

To celebrate this amazing milestone the Schools Spectacular Committee, including Artistic Director Mary Lopez is delighted to announce that Australia's most successful male vocal group HUMAN NATURE will return to perform exclusively at the evening show on Friday 29 November.

The HUMAN NATURE journey began in 1989 when Brothers Michael and Andrew Tierney formed 4Trax with fellow Hurlstone Agricultural High School students Phil Burton and Toby Allen. 24 years on HUMAN NATURE have forged one of the most successful careers in Australian music history together with their record label Sony Music Australia. Releasing ten studio albums and selling more than 2 million CDs worldwide.

And now Schools Spectacular's most famous artists are coming home for Christmas. Flying in direct from Las Vegas, they will perform a series of concerts from their first ever Christmas album as well as hits from the hugely successful Motown series and original songs.

In terms of sheer size, scale and scope, the Schools Spectacular is unequalled in the world. It is regarded as one of Australia's most popular annual variety shows, shining a spotlight on 3,600 students from 400 NSW Public schools. It includes a 1,300-voice choir; an 80-piece symphony orchestra; 2,000 dancers; and rock, jazz, brass and marching bands. This iconic cultural event involves performers of varying ages, cultures, skills and socio-economic backgrounds, hailing from country, metropolitan and isolated regions of NSW.

This year, for the first time, Schools Spectacular will be broadcast nationally on the Nine Network on Saturday 30 November from 7.00pm to 10.00pm and replayed on GO! on Sunday 1 December 2013.
