Die Abstimmung vom 29. November 2009 wirft im In- und Ausland weiterhin hohe Wellen. Die politischen Lager bezichtigen sich gegenseitig des Demokratiemissbrauchs. Politik und Medien fragen sich händeringend, warum kaum jemand das Resultat vorhergesehen hat. Juristen streiten, ob und wie der Volksentscheid mit den internationalen Verträgen in Einklang zu bringen ist. Die Wirtschaft fürchtet einen Imageschaden. Im Ausland fragt man sich, welche Folgen das Minarettverbot für die eigene Integrationspolitik hat. Und viele Muslime sehen sich unter Generalverdacht.
