Kungliga Operan will premiere Station Illusion this October! Performances will run October 25-November 22, 2021.
In the 18th century, the French certainly knew how to put on a show! And now you are invited to 18th century Stockholm where a traveling theater company from France is responsible for the entertainment. They offer beautiful costumes, swinging live music and exciting pranks. As a guide, we have Tessin, our dear castle architect and the great cultural lovers of the time, who did most to cheer up the melancholy Swedes through illusion and playfulness.
In the performance, we travel back in time and experience a world of performing arts full of passion and enthusiasm. The team, led by baroque specialist Karin Modigh, has made a deep dive into history to create a declaration of love for the French baroque theater. There will be music, dance, song, commedia dell'arte and scenery in beautiful union and heartbreaking transformation.
For the whole family. Suitable for children from 6 to 12 years.
