The Department of Music is a community of artists and educators who work collaboratively to support and encourage one another. Our mission is to provide an engaging, inclusive, and professional artistic experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Our graduates use their musical abilities to enrich and sustain communities within the university, the region, and beyond. All are welcome to experience the joy of performing, listening, creating, and learning.
Acceptance Rate:
Western Washington University (WWU) has a general acceptance rate of 91%, but acceptance into the music department or minor does not guarantee general university admission; students must also be accepted through the WWU Admissions Office.
