About the program
The Music Unit is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and offers courses leading to the Bachelor of Music degrees in music education, music performance and sound recording technology. In addition, we offer the Bachelor of Arts in Music and a minor in music.
The education curriculum prepares music majors for the teaching profession and for certification to teach PreK-12. The performance curriculum prepares students for a career in performance in their respective performance areas. All curricula prepare students for advanced studies at the graduate level.
The music program also offers a variety of courses for non-majors.
