Welcome to Texas A&M University--Corpus Christi's Department of Theatre and Dance. Our students and faculty have been nationally recognized by the John F. Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. The mission of our program is to provide students with the tools needed for preparation as theatre educators or professional practitioner, or for continuation of their studies on the graduate level. As part of the School of Arts, Media & Communication, we offer a Bachelor of Theatre Arts Degree with an acting/director focus area and a design/tech focus area. Theatre majors may also pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre leading to teacher certification. As of Fall 2017, we offer a Dance Minor. We also offer a dance certificate that is available to all majors in all disciplines and professionals or educators seeking a certificate to develop their skill and knowledge in the area of dance. We offer an intense academic and production season providing students with meaningful experiences that promotes theatre as a medium of expression and collaboration.
