Producing Artistic Director Kristen van Ginhoven and the WAM Theatre team has announced an exciting ensemble of actors who are performing in the upcoming 2023 Fresh Takes Play Reading Series. The roster features a diverse array of talented performers. For all but one, Fresh Takes 2023 marks their WAM debut. 

Gretna Theatre will present four Family Series productions this summer at Mt. Gretna Playhouse. Each event is at 11:00 am on a summer Saturday morning, and sure to be fun for the whole family! Valley Youth Theatre will welcome Mark Stoddard as the Associate Artistic Director of Valley Youth Theatre. Stoddard brings over 20 years in theatre education experience to VYT, most recently as the Theatre Director and Instructor at Xavier College Preparatory.  

The Paul Robeson Award will be bestowed on Dale R. Shields for 2021, Pearl Cleage for 2022 and The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City for 2023.

Theatrical Outfit has announced that after a nation-wide search, Vanya Foote has been named the new Managing Director at the company. Working in partnership with Artistic Director Matt Torney, Foote will lead TO as it continues to grow its mission of starting the conversations that matter in the heart of Downtown Atlanta – fueled by Mainstage Productions, the new works program Made In Atlanta, and ever expanding community outreach.

Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts has announced its fall/winter programming, reflective of its artistic vision, featuring a mix of collaborations with constituents across Lincoln Center and a focus on genres historically underrepresented on campus.

Conductor Jordan Randall Smith has received national recognition for his work as music director of Baltimore chamber orchestra Symphony Number One.

Today, The Bergamot have released their Matt Wiggins produced record Mayflies.  The stream of singles released this year has set the world stage for The Bergamot. The new album, Mayflies is set to be the biggest release in the group's history. The band has announced a full U.S. tour this fall, more music videos upcoming, all the while the band's fanbase grows by the day It's been an overnight success that has been 10 years in the making.
