Eastern Music Festival (EMF), a nationally recognized music festival and summer educational program based in the heart of North Carolina, announces five young musical artist winners of the annual Concerto Competition. Over 90 students competed in the Festival's annual competition, and the five winners will perform their respective concertos on Thursday, July 25, at 8 p.m. in Dana Auditorium at Guilford College.

The much-acclaimed one-act opera, Sister Angelica (Suor Angelica), will be performed by The Catholic University of America's new Benjamin T. Rome School of Music, Drama, and Art, approaching the 100th anniversary of the work's premiere. The opera, written by Giacomo Puccini, will be directed by the Rome School's Opera Director and Voice Instructor, James Hampton.

Audiences will receive a history lesson with a goth twist as the Benjamin T. Rome School of Music presents its spring 2018 musical, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson. Performances will take place in Ward Recital Hall Feb. 16-25.
