Student Blog: The Ghost of Halloween's Past
I take a look back at Halloween.
Two years ago, little ol' freshman-in-college me was struggling to figure out what to go as to my choir's Halloween party.
I didn't have anything planned.
My mom came through and suggested I wear what you see in the picture, which is my old cheer gear from my senior year of high school.
I liked it, for one.
It wasn't stereotypically frilly and over-the-top like most cheerleader costumes tend to be, but it fit my personality much better, and still does to this day.
As you can see, this was also during the pandemic's big raging, so it wasn't like costumes were exactly easy to come by anyways.
Be creative, have fun, and be yourself. After all, the scariest thing you can be on Halloween is the opposite of yourself.
