Echo Theatre Company presents the St. Louis premiere of CRUMBLE (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake) by Sheila Callaghan from December 3-19.  The production will be held in Echo's performance venue, Theatre 134, in the ArtSpace at Crestwood Court.  The theater is located in the Crestwood Court shopping center at the corner of Watson and Sappington Roads. 
 
Christmas, and a year has passed since the untimely death of Janice's father. Struggling to cope, Janice holds spiteful conversations with her dolls, and her mother, Clara, suffers from panic attacks, with only her cooking to keep her busy. In their deteriorating Apartment that incessantly begs for repairs, their only comforts are visitations from their respective celebrity crushes ? Justin Timberlake and Harrison Ford. With the support of Justin's affection, Janice crafts an explosive plan to create her own Christmas miracle. But can they survive the Apartment's murderous plans and Aunt Barbara's 57 cats?

Sheila Callaghan's plays have been produced and developed with Soho Rep, Playwright's Horizons, South Coast Repertory, Clubbed Thumb, The LARK, Actor's Theatre of Louisville, New Georges, Woolly Mammoth, and Rattlestick Playwright's Theatre, among others. Sheila is the recipient of the Princess Grace Award for emerging artists, a Jerome Fellowship from the Playwright's Center in Minneapolis, a MacDowell Residency, a 2005 Cherry Lane Mentorship Fellowship, the Susan Smith Blackburn Award, and the prestigious Whiting Award. Her plays have been produced internationally in New Zealand, Norway, Germany, and the Czech Republic. She has been commissioned by Playwright's Horizons, South Coast Repertory, The Playwright's Foundation, Clubbed Thumb, and EST/Sloan. Her full-length plays include SCAB, CRAWL FADE TO WHITE, WE ARE NOT THESE HANDS, DEAD CITY, LASCIVIOUS SOMETHING, KATE CRACKERNUTS, THAT PRETTY PRETTY; OR, THE RAPE PLAY, and FEVER/DREAM. Currently, Sheila is a writer on the Showtime series THE UNITED STATES OF TARA.
 
CRUMBLE (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake) will be directed by Echo's Artistic Director Eric Little. The cast features Terry Meddows as the Apartment, Chelsea Serocke as Janice, Kirsten Wylder as Clara, Colleen Backer as Barbara, and Justin Ivan Brown as Justin Timberlake, Harrison Ford and Father.
