By:

Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts presents "Eurydice" by Sarah Ruhl. The production runs tonight, April 5-7, in the Emerson Studio Theatre in the Loretto Hilton Center, 130 Edgar Rd, St. Louis, Mo. Curtain times are 7:30 p.m. on Friday, and 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday and 2 p.m. only on Sunday. Admission is $12 for the general public and $6 for senior adults and students. For ticket reservations, call the Fine Arts Hotline at 968-7128.

Sara Ruhl is one of the most important and inventive American Playwrights working today. In "Eurydice," Ruhl reimagines the classic myth of Orpheus through the eyes of its heroine. Dying too young on her wedding day, Eurydice must journey to the underworld, where she reunites with her father and struggles to remember her lost love. With contemporary characters, ingenious plot twists, and bold theatricality, the play is a fresh look at a timeless love story.

With its home campus in St. Louis, Webster University (www.webster.edu) is the only Tier 1, private, non-profit U.S.-based University providing a network of international residential campuses.
