Actors’ Housing At The Rep Gets A Face Lift, Showcase Held 8/27

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis (The Rep), in collaboration with St. Louis AT HOME, invite the public to a Showhouse of The Rep's garden apartments. The apartments serve as the home away from home for actors of The Rep. The Showhouse will take place at the garden apartments, located on Garden Avenue just east of Nerinx Field in Webster Groves, Saturday, August 27, 2011 from 10 am - 2 pm.

Twenty designers, commissioned by St. Louis AT HOME, have newly renovated fourteen apartments.

The designers of the garden apartments are Jenny Baca, Kelly Barr, Ardra Bradley, Zach Cramberg, Kayleigh Dumond, Retta Leritz DiFate, Vicki Dreste, Jay Eiler, Renée Flanders, Taylor Haywood, Jimmy Jamieson, Jenny Manganaro, Mitchell Wall Architects and Design, Laura Elzemeyer Murray, the interior design class at the Stevens Institute of Business and Art, Marcia Moore, Carolyn Peterson, Matthew Reed, Marcia Smith and Sonja Willman.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Reservations can be made by calling The Rep's Box Office at (314) 968-4925 or by visiting The Rep's website at http://www.repstl.org/GardenApartments. Advance tickets are available until Friday, August 26 at 4 p.m.

Proceeds of the Showhouse will benefit the Actors' Housing at the Garden Apartments and The Rep.

Parking is available in Webster University's Lot O across the street from the Garden Apartments.

Out of the several hundred who gave, The Rep and St. Louis AT HOME would like to especially thank: Pro Source Flooring for all flooring and tile in all of the apartments; Kohler for the sinks, faucets, vanities, hardware, toilets and shower materials; Beck Allen Cabinetry for creating all the cabinetry; Architectural Stone for the granite kitchen countertops; Brouster Construction and Ross Construction for sending over teams of carpenters; The Murphy Company for helping with the plumbing; Reinhold Electric and the Local 57 electricians union for all the electric for the roughing and placement of light fixtures.
