Produced by Archa Theatre from Czech Republic, the play was directed by David Radok, well-known opera director. Havel's ‘Leaving', inspired by Shakespeare's ‘King Lear' and Checkhov's ‘The Cherry Orchard', tells the story of a former chancellor whose life collapses after he loses
power.

‘Leaving' proves that Havel is still capable of producing an excellent absurd drama that has long beenhis trademark. Inevitably, the plot of the play is parallel to Havel's life, which gives an echo of the play.

Havel's theatrical comeback with ‘Leaving' will be undoubtedly one of the most important theatre events in 2010.
