Upcoming Events Set At Electric City Playhouse

This Friday Night, November 4th at 7pm, the Anderson Rotary Club will present the 2nd Annual CHILD's PLAY, a reader's theatre of children's books to promote youth literacy.
Community Leaders and local celebrities will light up the stage with lively and playful readings of selected books for an adult audience. This fundraiser is for a great cause.
A wine and cheese reception precedes the readings in the lobby, so come early. The event is $25.oo per person. For more information you may call 864-276-5560.

The Piedmont Beauty Pageant will be here Saturday, November 5th. Teens from around the area will compete for this gala event which begins at 7pm.

Electric City Playhouse will host another Electric City Nights November 11th at 8pm, featuring Christopher Branch and Bob Kilgore.

Christopher Branch plays regularly in the area, and will be performing all original music. As a songwriter/performer this is Christopher's and your opportunity to get into the making of this live concert as a music video. The noises of restaurants and bars make it hard to hear the depth of a writer's work. Electric City Nights provides the place and the setting for the unique opportunity of bringiong live original music to you with the intimacy of a playhouse, and the quality of high tech recording.

Bob Kilgore, creator of a specialized capo, is a recording artist heard regularly on NPR stations. His style is instrumental and will be a real treat for Anderson listeners.

Tickets are $15.oo and may be purchased by calling the Electric City Box office or the night of the show. Doors will open at 7pm with the concert taking place at 8pm.
