THE LION KING Opens in Greenville, 6/12; Tickets On Sale 2/11
Disney Theatrical Productions and The Peace Center announced today that tickets for the long-awaited production of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public on Saturday February 11, 2012 at 7am at the Box Office. Greenville's most eagerly awaited stage production will begin performances at The Peace Center on Tuesday June 12 for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday July 8. The opening night is Thursday June 14 at 7:30pm.
Ticket buyers are invited to special box office opening festivities on February 11 at The Peace Center where the first 100 people in line will received a Lion King CD and t-shirt- and all others in line will receive a Lion King t-shirt (one item per order, while supplies last).Guests will be treated to music and contests, food and drinks. Doors to The Peace Center will open and box office sales will begin at 7:00am on Saturday, February 11. Online sales will begin at 10:00am. Ticket purchasers can call the box office for tickets beginning at 11:00am.
In Greenville, THE LION KING will play Tuesday through Thursday evenings at 7:30pm, Friday and Saturday evenings at 8:00pm, Sunday evenings at 6:30pm, Saturday matinees at 2:00pm and Sunday matinees at 1:00pm. There will be a 2:00pm matinee performance on Thursday, July 5. There will not be a performance on Wednesday, July 4. Ticket prices start as low as $32.50. Premium Ticket Packages, which include prime seat locations, a commemorative souvenir program and an exclusive merchandise item, are also available. Beginning February 11, tickets will be available at The Peace Center Box Office, and online at www.peacecenter.org. The North American touring production of THE LION KING has been seen by over 13.5 million theatergoers and grossed over $875 million to date. Having already played more than 60 cities across North America, THE LION KING now proudly makes its Greenville premiere at The Peace Center.
