Trustus company members Dewey Scott-Wiley and Elena Martinez-Vidal are celebrating their 20th anniversary of performing Parallel Lives, the Kathy and Mo Show - and you're invited! This duo has been making audiences laugh since the first time they performed the show in 1993. The show has become one of the trademark Trustus shows, and has become a staple in Columbia for the past 20 years. In one evening, you can watch two of Trustus' iconic performers portray a plethora of comedic characters.

In the opening scene, two Supreme Beings plan the beginning of the world with the relish of two slightly sadistic suburban wives decorating a living room. Once they've decided on the color scheme of the races, a little concerned that white people will feel slighted being such a boring color, they create sex and the sexes. Afraid women will have too many advantages; the Beings decide to make childbirth painful and to give men enormous egos as compensation. From this moment, the audience is whisked through the outrageous universe of Kathy and Mo, where two actresses play men and women struggling through The Common rituals of modern life: teenagers on a date, sisters at their grandmother's funeral, a man and a woman together in a country-western bar. With boundless humor, Parallel Lives reexamines the ongoing quest to find parity and love in a contest handicapped by capricious gods-or in this case, goddesses. Don't miss this special Main Stage engagement.

The Kathy and Mo Show opens on the Trustus Main Stage on Thursday, February 28th at 8:00pm and runs through Saturday, March 2nd, 2013. All shows are at 8:00pm and a champagne and dessert after-party follows every performance. Tickets are $30 dollars for this event.

Trustus Theatre is located at 520 Lady Street, behind the Gervais St. Publix. Parking is available on Lady St. and on Pulaski St. The Main Stage entrance is located on the Publix side of the building.

For more information or reservations call the box office Tuesdays through Saturdays 1-6 pm at 803-254-9732. Visit www.trustus.org for all show information and season information.
