GLOW Lyric Theatre's Armed is a joint fundraiser between Glow and SC organizations concerned about gun violence in the state and America, including partners Arm in Arm SC, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America SC, Safe Harbor, and Upstate International.

With two performances, Armed will include testimonials, songs and dance in an evening intended to bring both gun owners and gun opposition together to start dialogue on how to combat domestic violence or mass shootings which have become all too common in America today.

Also join Glow and Arm in Arm for a free pre-show reception, where you can learn more about gun violence prevention, in a unique opportunity to hear from both sides of this very complicated issue. Through this dialogue these organizations seek to put a stop to gun violence in the state, country, and world.

About Glow Lyric Theatre:

Every year Glow Lyric Theatre presents works of opera, operetta and musical theatre that are in direct response to the political and social climate of South Carolina. GLOW seeks to produce nationally recognized work that is socially relevant, and serve as a unique example of utilizing theatre for social change.

About Arm in Arm SC

Galvanized by the Emanuel AME tragedy in Charleston, Arm-in-Arm is an independent, grassroots group of South Carolinians working to reduce gun violence. Together--with chapters forming in Columbia, Greenville and Myrtle Beach--we will close the gaps in laws that make it too easy for guns to fall into the wrong hands, while supporting the right of citizens to lawfully own guns.

About Moms for Gun Sense in America SC

Much like Mothers Against Drunk Driving was created to reduce drunk driving, Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (www.momsdemandaction.org) was created to advocate for stronger laws and policies that will reduce gun violence and save lives. We are a non-partisan grassroots movement of American mothers demanding common-sense solutions to address our country's dangerous culture of gun violence, which jeopardizes the safety of our children and families.

About Safe Harbor Greenville

Safe Harbor is a private, 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to helping victims of domestic violence in the upstate of South Carolina.

They offer a continuum of services, providing safe emergency shelter, counseling, legal advocacy, and transitional housing, as well as community outreach and teen dating violence education in Greenville, Pickens, Anderson, and Oconee counties.
