The Color Purple will be in the Wilson Mainstage Auditorium, 403 N Main St. now through September 15, 2013. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

A vibrant saga of one woman's triumph over adversity to discovery and love is the heart of this powerful musical based on the celebrated novel and beloved film. Infusing gospel, jazz, African, and blues styles,The Color Purple will touch your heart as you follow Celie on her journey of personal awakening over a lifetime of struggle.

Co-Directors Joshua Napierkowski and Quinton McMutuary with Music Director James Douglas lead a fine ensemble cast: Andre Spathelf-Sanders, Ben Little, Clara J Ross, Danae Watson, Danyua Miller, David Smith, Delshawn Taylor, Zoe Morgan, Dorea Britton, Ebone Shane, Jasmine Dennie, Jevon Johnson, Jordian Cooper, Kasey Bridges, Kennedi Bridges, LaDaja Lilbert, Laurisa LeSure, Laverne McMutuary, Makeda Grier, Michele Love-Moore, Natonya Gathright, Pierre Cooks, Ron Bishop, Sheila LeSure, Sierra Henderson, Simone Swanson, Tabreon Johnson, Tanisha Miller, Troi Adams, Wilettte Alford, Alex Adams, Eula Milon, Tamryn Johnson, Terrell Jackson, Quinton McMutuary and Travis Mayer.

Performances are on Fridays & Saturdays at 8pm, Saturdays & Sundays at 3pm and Wednesday &Thursday at 7:30pm. Tickets are $18 on Wednesday & Thursday and $21 for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays. Tickets can be purchased by calling 574-234-1112 or online.
