SOME DAYS to Return to Alexander Bar Upstairs After Sold-Out Run
SOME DAYS returns to the Alexander Bar Upstairs after a sold-out first run. This musical revue, starring Cleo Raatus (DISTRICT SIX: KANALA), Tankiso Mamabolo (NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH, DIE VAN AARDES VAN GROOTOOR) and Sizwesandile Mnisi (WOZA ALBERT!), is set to the themes of resilience, pain, joy and strife in soul and jazz music.
Accompanied by David Lubbe (DANI AND THE LION) on piano, the cast tell the story of three young, gifted and black artists finding strength in music. In a time where our existence is protest, what can one do but embrace it through song?
SOME DAYS runs from 5 - 17 September with shows taking place at 21:00 nightly. Tickets cost R80-R90 and can be booked online or at the bar, anytime during its regular opening hours.
