A new 50-minute musical theatre piece, SOME DAYS, will premiere at the Alexander Bar's Upstairs Theatre this July.

SOME DAYS is a musical revue set in Cape Town. Two successful singers, Jonathan and Sizo, return to their hometown for one show only. On their first night back, they stumble upon Nangamso's - a washed up tavern in District Six. Jonathan and Sizo's destructive yet co-dependent relationship reaches boiling point as a betrayal leads to the possible ending of the singing duo's partnership.

The cast includes Cleo Raatus (BLACK DOG, DISTRICT SIX: KANALA), who will also direct the show, Sizwesandile Mnisi (WOZA ALEBRT!) and Tankiso Mamabolo (DIE VAN AARDES VAN GROOTOOR, NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH). Accompaniment will be provided by David Lubbe and August van der Westhuizen.

SOME DAYS runs from 25 - 27 July. Tickets cost R80-R90 and can be booked online at the Alexander Bar website or purchased at the bar. For telephone bookings and enquiries, call 021 300 1652. Alexander Bar & Café is situated at 76 Strand Street in the Cape Town city centre and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.
