From the writer of the runaway success BAD JEWS, comes a Fugard Theatre production of Joshua Harmon's Broadway hit SIGNIFICANT OTHER.

Eric Abraham presents this Fugard Theatre production which must end on 7 July. It is directed by the Fugard Theatre's resident director Greg Karvellas (The Road to Mecca, Shakespeare in Love, The Father, Clybourne Park, Bad Jews, CHAMP).

Both the Cape Argus and Die Burger have awarded the production four stars, commenting, "From nerve-jangling opening to finale, Significant Other has what it takes." (Beverley Brommert Cape Argus) and "Wat die skrywer en regisseur regkry, is om hierdie gegewe so raak uit te beeld dat alle ouderdomsgroepe hulle daarmee kan vereenselwig" (David Engelbrecht, Die Burger).

Jordan Berman is desperately looking for Mr Right... but he is getting it all wrong.

SIGNIFICANT OTHER follows Jordan and his three closest friends as they navigate love, friendship and New York in their twenty-something years. Jordan is single, and finding Mr. Right is much easier said than done. While surrounding himself with his close group of girlfriends, it comes to pass that the only thing harder than looking for love is supporting the loved ones around him as they pair off and embark on their journey of marriage.

The New York Times hailed SIGNIFICANT OTHER as one of its Top Ten Productions of 2015, with critic Charles Isherwood commenting 'an absolutely wonderful new play. Entirely delightful, richly funny and heart-stirring'.

The all South African cast features Gabriel Meltz (Murdering Agatha Christie, Somber Pines) as Jordan, Dominique Maher (The Rocky Horror Show, Pride and Prejudice) as Kiki, Lesoko Seabe (Clybourne Park, Siembamba) as Vanessa, Lucy Tops (Funny Girl, The Rocky Horror Show) as Laura, Michèle Maxwell (Cabaret, Present Laughter, Funny Girl) as Helene with Roberto Kyle (Aunty Merle the Musical, Knapsekêrels) and Ryan de Villiers (Measure Up, Outlander) completing the line-up.
