Photo Flash: Meet Liewe Heksie and Friends on their Way to Emperor's Palace
Lefra Productions is bringing a brand new stage production of LIEWE HEKSIE to Emperor's Palace! The creator of LIEWE HEKSIE, Verna Vels, celebrated her 80th birthday this year and is also celebrating the golden anniversary of Liewe Heksie's first appearance. Lefra Productions has toured South Africa for the past three years with many LIEWE HEKSIE productions and to celebrate this double anniversary, director Frans Swart convinced Vels to write a brand new LIEWE HEKSIE story. Swart has adapted and directed the story for the stage.

LIEWE HEKSIE EN DIE TUINDWERGIE takes a look at what happens when Liewe Heksie meets a Casper, a garden gnome, and all of the mischief that follows. LIEWE HEKSIE EN BOTTERBLOM tells the story of Botterblom, a lonely cow and the supplier of all of Blommeland's milk - until she gets lonely because Karring, the goblin, won't let her have any friends.
The company includes Ana van Achterbergh as Liewe Heksie, Botha Enslin (Kwaaitjie Kabouter, Mattewis, Geelheks, Borrie, Griet and Karel Kat), Debré Rossouw (Blommie Kabouter, Koning Rosekrans and Kerrie) and Phillru van Achterbergh (Casper and Borrie).
