Dance for All is calling on youth between the ages of 18 - 21 years old to join its exciting twelve-month bridging programme.

The bridging programme, established in 1991, aims to equip dance learners who would like to pursue a career in dance with much-needed skills that bridge the gap between being a dance student and becoming a professional dancer.

Students accepted onto the programme receive individual guidance and assistance in developing their talents from Dance for All's team of experienced teachers, all of whom are former professional dancers.

The course will provide its students with much-needed background and experience to continue studying in the field of professional dancing, choreographing, dance teaching, costume design, sound and lighting, all of which form part of the performing arts.

The bridging programme has to date had numerous success stories of students who have moved on and being accepted by other tertiary institutions or organisations. A total of 23 students have studied are currently studying at Jazzart Dance Theatre, the Cape Academy of Performing Arts, the University of Cape Town School of Dance, the Tshwane University of Technology and the Cinevox Junior Company in Switzerland, while three former students are currently with Dance for All (DFA) as trainee teachers
