Casper Ace & The Wild Cards will play the Alexander Upstairs this October. Featuring original music and lyrics by Casper Ace, with A&R Direction by Tim Honey, their hour-long concert will take place on 15 October at 19:00.

Casper Ace & The Wild Cards play an eclectic selection of hit songs, some original and currently being played on national radio, and some spanning back decades to the early days of Rock 'n' Roll.

The band's members hail from Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Somerset West and comprise of Casper Ace on guitar and vocals, Cornel Masson on keyboards and vocals, Gustav Franzsen on bass and vocals, and Mario De Abreu on drums and percussion.

Formed in early 2017, the group already entertained audiences at venues like the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town and the Klein Karoo National Arts Festival in Oudtshoorn with performances that range from intimate to very lively. Over and above well-known songs, the band also performs original material from Casper Ace's debut album SAAM, described by Afrikaans music legend, Koos Kombuis, as 'surprisingly new'.

Tickets for Casper Ace & The Wild Cards are available from the Alexander Bar website, with seats costing R90 if booked and prepaid online or R100 if paid on collection at the bar. For telephone enquiries, call 021 300 1652. The Alexander Bar, Café and Theatre is situated at 76 Strand Street in the Cape Town city centre and can be followed on Facebook and Twitter.
