SELWYN AND GABRIEL is a new comedy-drama by Richard Kaplan, writer of THE FINKELSTEINS ARE COMING TO DINNER. Directed by Matthew Kalil, SELWYN AND GABRIEL features Kai Luke Brummer (BLACK DOG/INJ'ENYAMA) as Selwyn and Mbulelo Grootboom (JUST BUSINESS) as Gabriel, both award-winning actors who bring freshness and passion to their roles.

In the dead of night, Selwyn Aaron Bernstein wakes to find the intruder Gabriel in his home. Something terrible has happened. Gabriel who is at once interrogator, bureaucrat and therapist begins an investigation. "Where were you on the 10th July 2016 at 2.34am when the lights went out?" he asks. "I was asleep," Selwyn replies. But was he? What follows is an intriguing inner journey of discovery about regret & real estate, flight & friendship, lies & integrity - and love - always love.

SELWYN AND GABRIEL runs at the Alexander Upstairs from 28 August - 9 September at 19:00 nightly, with a 16:00 matinees on Saturdays. Tickets are available from the Alexander Bar website, with seats costing R140 if booked and prepaid online or R150 if paid on collection at the bar. For telephone enquiries, call 021 300 1652.
